From August 9th to 14th, the Director General of the National Museum, Dr. Michal Lukeš, undertook a working visit to Ulaanbaatar at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, B. Battsetseg, and the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Professor Regdel.
During his visit, Dr. Lukeš met with several prominent figures, including the Minister of Culture Ch. Nomin, the Director of the Chinggis Khan Museum, Dr. Chuluun, and the Director of the Paleontological Institute, Kh. Tsogtbaatar. He also had the opportunity to open a photo exhibition titled "205 Years of the National Museum," which was attended by representatives of almost all Mongolian museums, galleries, and cultural and educational institutions. In addition, Dr. Lukeš was a panelist at the international Mongolists' conference, Pax Mongolica, where he spoke about the shared Czech-Mongolian history.
"The main goal of my trip was to offer our Mongolian partners the opportunity to hold major exhibitions, whether about Chinggis Khan himself or Mongolian dinosaurs, in our newly renovated museum in Prague," commented Director Lukeš on his successful visit.
