Before traveling to the Czech Republic, travellers must notify the Czech health authorities about their arrival by filling out the Public Health Passenger Locator Form. A confirmation of its completion must be submitted to the border control upon request.

Before entering the Czech Republic by public transport (plane, train or bus...) passengers have to show a written confirmation of a negative PCR test result (max. 72 hrs from the sample collection). In the case of Czech citizens and their accompanying family members with a temporary residence permit issued in the Czech Republic, EU citizens with a temporary residence permit issued in the CR, or foreigners with a permanent residence permit in the CR issued by the CR, they may alternatively show a negative antigen test result before entering the territory of the Czech Republic by public transport (max. 48hrs from the sample collection).

Czech citizens, EU citizens with a temporary residence permit issued in the Czech Republic and foreigners with a permanent residence permit issued in the Czech Republic travelling individually (for example by car - however, this canot apply for traveller from Canada) do not have to take the pre-arrival test.

After entering the Czech Republic, it is obligatory to undergo an RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 between the 5th and 7th day. Until the RT-PCR test is negative, travellers must wear a respirator or similar respiratory protective device (without an exhalation valve) meeting at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product), including a filtration efficiency of at least 94 % according to the relevant standards (e.g. FFP2, CN 95), everywhere outside the home.

IMPORTANT

Exceptions apply to:

• Vaccinated persons (with completed vaccination + 14 days, rules differ for the Czech citizens and foreigners, please check the attached tables) and persons who have had COVID-19 disease. No testing required, with arrival form only. Visa free foreigners, including Canadian citizens, with two doses of vaccine do need the pre-travel test!
• children up to the age of 12 years, no tests and no arrival form required
