
Ambassador Karel Urban inaugurated the project of the Czech Republic supporting the production of limb prostheses

Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Tirana, Mr. Karel Urban, and the director of the "Hope for Life" association, Mr. Izet Onuzi, jointly inaugurated a Czech Development Cooperation Project supporting the production of limb prosthesis worth 20,000. EUR.
With funds donated by the Czech Republic the Association could buy quality material and produce limb prosthesis that gave to people a chance to come back in an active life again.
The ceremonial inauguration took place in the premises (workshop) of the “Hope for Life” association which positively contributed to the further visibility of the useful work of the association.
The Ambassador Karel Urban informed those present that the Czech Republic annually finances at least one development aid project in the healthcare sector in Albania.
This year, in addition to this project, the Czech Republic will also provide Czech hospital beds for the Mother Teresa Hospital in Tirana. Last year it supplied the Maternity Hospital Koco Gliozheni with a neonatal incubator and a neonatal transport bag from Czech manufacturers, in 2021 it helped to equip a children's playroom and a visiting room for parents at the oncology department of the Children's Hospital in Tirana.
