Meeting of Friends of the Czech Republic with albanologist Přemysl Vinš on Karel Čapek's Legacy at the Embassy in Tirana

On December 4, 2025, a reunion of the leading Czech albanologist Přemysl Vinš with a group of friends of Czechia took place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tirana. The Center for Albanian-Czech cooperation was represented on the one hand by the "first generation" of former university students in Czechoslovakia and, on the other hand, by other generations interested in the Czech Republic and its culture. The occasion was the publication of an Albanian translation of the illustrated version by Kateřina Čupová based on the dystopian play and novel R.U.R. by Karel Čapek.  A pleasant meeting on the message of Karel Čapek and R.U.R. with the participation of the Slovak Embassy was introduced by a lecture by Přemysl Vinš, whose contribution to Czech-Albanian relations was highly appreciated by the founder of the Center (Qendra Miqësia Shqiptaro-Çeke) Marika Dhonato, its current chairman Mirjel Dollani and its executive director Anila Shehi.
