Consultations of the Junior Deputy Minister of the European Section of the Czech MFA in Tirana

Consultations led by the Junior Deputy Minister Jaroslav Ludva with Albanian partners took place on February 23, 2016 in Tirana.

Mr. Ludva was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Odeta Barbullushi. Progress of Albania in preparation for opening accession negotiations with the EU, development of regional co-operation among Western Balkan countries, establishment of Western Balkan Fund and strengthening of bilateral cooperation with emphasis on trade were among the topics discussed.

Political consultations continued in a meeting with Mr. Ferit Hoxha,  Director General for Political and Strategic Affairs . The talks were attended by Ms. Mimoza Halimi, Head of Europe and Central Asia Directorate, and Head of EU Section Mr. Sokol Dedja. Junior Deputy Minister was accompanied by Ms. Bronislava Tomášová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Albania. Political consultations were focused mainly on concrete bilateral cooperation as well as its strengthening, the Czech support towards Albanian EU integration was also discussed during the talks.

Junior Deputy Minister Jaroslav Ludva talked to the Albanian Daily News about the Czech support to Albania on its way towards the EU as well as about the Visegrad Group regional cooperation. The article titled „European Solution is the Main Solution“ was published on February 24, 2016.
