Festive unveiling of Václav Havel Bench in Tel Aviv University on 27 October 2015

One of the events of Václav Havel Week on the occasion of 25th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Czechoslovakia and the State of Israel was the festive unveiling of Václav Havel Bench in Tel Aviv University on 27 October 2015. The speeches were held by Prof. Joseph Klafter, president of the Tel Aviv University, Daniel Herman, Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic, Ivo Schwarz, Czech Ambassador in Israel, Eli Fischer, Honorary President of Israeli-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lukáš Přibyl, Director of Czech Centre Tel Aviv, and Michael Žantovský, Director of Václav Havel Library in Prague. The special guest of honor was the artist Bořek Šípek, author of the Bench.
