Miloš Zeman won the Czech presidential election

The first round of the presidential election was held in the Czech Republik 12–13 January 2018. As no one of the 9 candidates won a majority, a run-off election between the top two candidates, President Miloš Zeman  (38%) and the former President of the Czech Academy of Sciences Jiří Drahoš (26%).

The second round of the voting was held on 26 and 27 January 2018. M. Zeman emerged victorious with 51.36% of the vote to J. Drahoš's 48.63%, with a turnout of 66.6%, the highest since the 1998 legislative election.  

Czech voters could vote also at the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv, where in the second round Jiří Drahoš received 141 votes and Miloš Zeman 13 votes.
