Ambassador Ivo Schwarz visited Petr and Eva Erben in Ashkelon

Few days before the Holocaust Remembrance Day Ambassador Ivo Schwarz visited on May 27, 2016 Czech compatriots Petr Erben (born 1921) and his wife Eva Erbenová (born 1930) in Ashkelon and spoke with them about their life. Both are holocaust survivors who went through the hell of concentrations camps. This hard time began for both of them in the Jewish ghetto Theresienstadt, where Petr was one of the players of Theresienstadt liga and Eva participated in the children opera Brundibar.

Now Petr and Eva are among the most actives survivors who regularly discuss this issue with the young generation and are known with their rich publishing activities.
