Important announcements:
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tehran is responsible for processing and approving long-term visa and residence permit applications for legal residents of Iran. The applicant must have a residence permit for Iran valid for at least 2 years. Afghani nationals that do not hold residence permit for Iran should contact the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad.
Consular section
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tehran has territorial consular and visa competence for Islamic Republic of Iran. Below you can find working hours and instructions where to find the necessary information. Latest changes and announcements can be also find here. Office hours of the Consular Section:
Be informed that you will be allowed to enter the consular section only with a valid appointment. The only exceptions is state of emergency of Czech nationals and submitting Schengen visa applications by EU family member (only on Thursday). For delivery of additional/missing documents (e.g. insurance, appeal, etc.) or for pick-up of documents (e.g. legalized documents, letters from MoI, etc.) you can come without appointment between 11:00-12:00.

Visa services:
The Embassy is responsible for visa services for citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran and for those, who have valid residence permit in Iran with validity for more than 2 year. You can find general information about visa / residence permit for the Czech Republic on the website here.

Communication methods and working languages:
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tehran hereby announces that in accordance with Section 169 of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., On the Residence of Foreigners in the Czech Republic and on Amendments to Certain Acts (as amended), the working languages of the local authority (Visa Section) are Czech language and English language with the exception for interrogations which according to § 16 of the Administrative Procedure Code are always conducted in Czech language.
Applicants for long-term visas and residence permits who cannot communicate in the above stated languages need to arrange, at their own expenses, an interpreter.
The Embassy communicates by following methods only: email, regular post, fax or phone. The Embassy does not use any of social networks for communication.
The Embassy answers all emails, except spam, usually within 3 working days. You will not get any answers during the public holidays or weekends. Please, do not resend your requests or questions multiple times.
