Czech compatriots celebrate 700th anniversary of birth of Charles IV

On 17 October 2016, an event took place in the Caucasian House in Tbilisi to mark the 700th anniversary of the birth of Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor. First Secretary of the Embassy Sabina Cingrošová addressed the guests on behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Georgia
 

The event organized by Golden Prague association of Czech compatriots in Georgia, headed by its Chairman Harold Šmalcel, was dedicated also to Jan Amos Komenský (John Amos Comenius), the so-called Teacher of Nations. Later, a short piano concert was given by prominent contemporary Georgian composer and jazz musician Giorgi Shaverzashvili.
