
Czech Embassy supports the Baltic Pride 2023 in Tallinn

On the occasion of annual LGBTQI+ Baltic Pride festival which takes place in Tallinn this year, the Embassy of the Czech Republic has joined a group of like-minded countries that supports this endeavour as a sign of Czechia´s commitment to support human rights, including those of the LGBTQI+ community, and the principles of equality and non-discrimination.
Members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Estonia adopted a joint statement in support of the Baltic Pride, which will be shared through the participating missions´ websites and social media and which will also be published in the major Estonian media outlets. The statement has been endorsed by 23 countries.
As a sign of our support, the Embassy will hoist a rainbow flag at the Embassy premises for the duration of the Pride Week, starting June 6 until June 11.
Ambassador David Král and Deputy Head of Mission Petr Preclík will also join the colleagues from 16 other diplomatic missions, both resident and non-resident ones, in the Pride March taking place in the centre of Tallinn on Saturday 10 June 2023. They will march together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Mr Margus Tsahkna and diplomats from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the slogan “Diplomats for Equality”. The Embassy staff will also participate in various other events organized during the Pride Week.
