The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček decided to provide aid of $128.000 to Australia to ease the impact of the destructive fires.
On the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia the aid will go towards local emergency and rescue services in affected areas. Further assistance, e.g. in the form of sending experts to aid the injured local fauna, was offered by Prague ZOO.
Furthermore, Czechia is coordinating its aid closely with the European Commission and member states of the EU.
