Presentation of Czechia during International Day at the International Grammar School, Sydney

On Friday 1 August 2025 the primary and high-school International Grammar School in Sydney held the 3rd Edition of International Day in order to celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity. The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sydney took part in the event which was attended by over 1000 students, with staff sharing Czech culture and traditions with the students and their teachers.

A range of presentations, performances and activities held as part of International Day allowed students to better understand the diversity of world cultures, including Czechia. Themed rooms showcasing specific countries and cultures, run by consulates and community groups, were also a part of the event.

In the Czech room, students were able to test their knowledge of Czechia, learn about Czech culture, take in the view of sights and historic buildings registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and train their language abilities with Czech tongue twisters.

Children had the opportunity to learn about different countries and cultures through fun tasks.
