Celebrations of National Day and 70 years since the founding of the Czech and Slovak Association of Western Australia

On October 28, 2023, the Consul-General of the Czech Republic in Sydney Zuzana Slováková, participated in celebrations of the founding of the Czech and Slovak Association of Western Australia, which took place in the Austrian Club in Perth – with whom the Association has been collaborating with long-term when organising its cultural and social activities. The formal part of the evening was followed by a magician’s performance for children, as well as a set by the band „No Mountain Band“ (one of whose members is Czech).

The Association celebrated 70 years since its foundation. The expat organisation arranged many activities, including publishing the community magazine Klokan and Czech language classes as part of the Czech School.
