Internal security, cooperation on illegal migration, gang crime, and hybrid threats. These and other topics were discussed during a three-day mission by a delegation from the Security Committee of the Chamber of Deputies in Sweden.
The delegation, led by Committee Vice-Chair Martin Exner, met in Stockholm with members of the Swedish Parliament (Riksdagen), the Director-General of the Psychological Defense Agency, and representatives of the Police Division of the Ministry of Justice.
A debate was held at the Riksdagen with government and opposition MPs from the Justice Committee, the Labor Market Committee, and the Social Insurance Committee. The main topics of discussion were the Pact on Asylum and Migration, the externalization of migration, the fight against illegal migration, and the integration of migrants into the social and economic life of Swedish society.
The meeting at the Ministry of Justice focused on gang and youth crime, Nordic police cooperation, and current security issues.
A meeting with Magnus Hjört, Director General of the Psychological Defense Agency, provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to combat disinformation and hybrid threats. The Swedish side presented its concept of "total defense."
The Chamber of Deputies delegation also included Deputy Chairman of the Security Committee Šimon Heller and committee members Karel Krejza and Martin Major.
