Czech Centres in Stockholm brought to Göteborg Bookfair Magdalena Platzová, a talented Czech writer. Her book Obtížný člověk was translated into Swedish and Publisher by Aspekt Publishing. The Ambassador also attended the presentation of Book Awards and gala reception hosted by Göteborg  Cityhall.

Ambassador Šitler accompanied by Zuzana Kabelková, new director of Czech Centres in Stockholm also met with Czech compatriots and representatives of Sokol Göteborg to discuss events commemorating upcoming 100th anniversary of founding independent Czechoslovakia and 50th anniversary of the invasion of Warsaw pact countries into Czechoslovakia.
