Join us on 22 November 2025 for a symbolic run in the heart of Stockholm. This gathering celebrates freedom and commemorates the key events of the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia in 1989. This year marks the 36th anniversary of this historic milestone.
Whether you're an experienced runner or simply want to take a walk through central Östermalm, come and celebrate the holiday of freedom with us.
About the Event
Velvet Run is a sports and social event that brings together participants of all ages. It’s a great opportunity to meet friends, family, and new people. The event has been held annually since 2019.

Changing and storage facilities will be available. The event is suitable for everyone – from seasoned runners to families with children.

This year’s Velvet Run routes will once again take you through the picturesque streets and beautiful parks of Stockholm’s Östermalm district. There will be three route options divided by category: long, medium, and the shortest walking route.
