The screening of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), directed by Miloš Forman, took audience back into the setting of a psychiatric hospital turned upside down by the arrival of a new patient (Jack Nicholson). The film was screened on three dates, including a Malmö screening on February 4, 2025 at 18:00.
Synopsis: This iconic film by Czech director Miloš Forman was based on Ken Kesey’s bestseller One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and won all five major Academy Awards This year, this classic celebrates its 50th anniversary. It stars Jack Nicholson as the brazen criminal Randle P. McMurphy, who, in order to avoid prison, tricks his way into a psychiatric institution. There, he and the other patients try to spark a rebellion against the inhumane treatment by the tyrannical Nurse Ratched.
