European Day of Languages 2025
03.09.2025 / 15:39
For the 24th year, the Council of Europe is initiating the European Day of Languages (EDL), which promotes language education across Europe. It is celebrated annually on 26 September and is organized by the European Centre for Modern Languages in Graz. Cultural institutes in Stockholm and other selected European countries prepare a colorful and playful program for students and the general public, helping participants learn the basics and unique features of various foreign languages.
We warmly invite high school students and other interested individuals to the European Day of Languages, which will be celebrated in Stockholm on 30 September 2025 as part of the Language Café at Finlandhuset. During this event, short language courses will be available, covering more than twenty-five different languages, including Czech, Armenian, Esperanto, French, German, Ukrainian, Icelandic, and sign language. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try out new languages!
⯈ WHEN: September 30, 9:00 - 15:00
