Conservator František Makeš's lecture in the Czech Centre

The conservator František Makeš held a lecture about the Gothic painter Master Theodoricus in the Czech Centre on April 27. The Ambassador Jiří Šitler had an opening speech.
The lecture was held in relation with the ongoing exhibition of replicas of Master Theodoricus' paintings of St. Jerome and St. Vitus. František Makeš came to Sweden in 1967 and throughout his professional life he participated among others in the rescue works of art at the castle Skokloster, Livrustkammaren or Hallwylska Museet. The exhibition of his replicas of the Gothic paintings takes place at the Czech Centre until May 6 and it's a part of the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Charles IV.
