Evening jazz concert with Naiponk and Hans Backenroth

The Czech Embassy in Sweden, in cooperation with the Czech Centers in Stockholm, organized an evening jazz concert, presented by the Czech pianist Najponk (Jan Knop) and the Swedish double bass player Hans Backenroth, on September 20, 2017.
This was the first time Najponk and Hans Backenroth played together in Sweden. The concert was held in the representative premises of the Czech Embassy in Stockholm, in the presence of Ambassador Jiří Šitler and other distinguished guests, mostly from the diplomatic corps.
Najponk and Hans Backenroth met for the first time in Prague at the illustrious jazz club U Malého Glena, in 2015. Since then there has been an inspiring music dialog between the two musicians which finally led to a concert in Prague this year and recording of an album that will be released in 2018.
