Czech companies at the Travel News Market in Stockholm

In total, 10 Czech companies, together with the Central Moravia Tourism Association, participated at the Travel News Market 2019 in Stockholm on 7 November 2019. Czech participation was part of the project of Economic Diplomacy (PROPED). The project included a specialized B2B seminar with Swedish partners, organized by the Czech Embassy and the CzechTourism Agency on margins of the travel show, at which Czech companies could present themselves and establish cooperation with Swedish partners. Although the fair allowed classic partnering, thanks to a targeted campaign, a total of 15 Swedish subjects attended the B2B seminar.
 

Travel News Market is the largest B2B tourism trade show in Sweden. Approx. 220 exhibitors and 1,300 buyers, mainly tour operators, travel agents and travel agencies from MICE, Business and Leisure Travel not only from Stockholm and all of Sweden, but also from neighbouring countries participated at Travel News market 2019. The Stockholm show attracted almost all European countries to set up national stands, but also destinations such as Israel, the USA, the Philippines, China, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico and other Latin American countries, etc. Participation of the Czech Republic was a necessity.

Sweden is also an interesting destination for incoming tourism: in the first half of the year, 67,619 Swedish tourists visited the Czech Republic (an increase of 6.28% compared to 2018), while 175,593 overnight stays (an increase of 5.5%) were registered, meaning the average length of stay is very decent 3.6 days.

Czech stand hosted 10 Czech companies: Prague Convention Bureau, CPI Hotels, Orea Hotels, Léčebné lázně Mariánské lázně, Tree of Life Lázně Bělohrad, Lázně Teplice, travel agency Kompas, travel agency Enthusia Travel, agency Mondial a Regiojet. Toursim associstion of Central Moravia was also present. Some other companies had only brochures on display such as  Chateau Mcely and others.

During Czech-Swedish B2B Seminar Hana Krausová from Amazing Places presented several accommodation facilities which provide best service to their customers and renowned travel-bloggers Peter a Helena Bergström presented a summary of hidden gems of the Czech Republic.
