On the 14th of November 2017 Dušan Štrauch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria, took part in the solemn opening of the monument of Proshek brothers -  Jiri and Bogdan.

In his speech he greeted all the guests, the organizers (San Stefano Property Development EAD) and the heirs of some of the most prominent builders of the newly liberated Bulgarian republic after 1878 and also Sofia into a modern European capital. They built in Sofia the famous Luvov and the Orlov Bridge, established the first brewery, contributed to the construction of the monument of Vasil Levski, actively participated in the construction of the Varna port and many others.

The bronze statues of the two brothers with a glass of beer in their hands were made by the famous Bulgarian sculpturer Georgi Chapkanov and they are located at the site of the former Proshek Beer Factory (San Stefano Square), where today stands a modern shopping center.
