On December 4, 2016 in Inter Expo Centre in Sofia the Annual Charity Bazaar took place, traditionally organized by International Woman Club in Sofia. More than 60 countries were represented at the bazaar by their Embassies, as well as a big number of stalls of NGO’s, so the whole number of the participants was bigger than 80.
This year the also the Czech Republic was among the participants, and its stall was organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic with the kind support of the sponsors and the fellow Czech countrymen in Bulgaria. The visitors had the possibility to buy traditional Czech products, prevailing part of them was made it the Czech Republic and brought to Sofia or granted by Czech firms directly for charity purpose (for example the firms Český porcelán, Veba, Modrotisk Danzinger, Koh-i-noor, Bohemia Crystal), to try typical Czech meals (for example goulash and traditional Czech cookies –“koláče“, made by the team of the Embassy, Madlenka cake, as well as the cookies Hořické trubičky, granted from producers or distributors). Different kinds of beer were also provided, so there was a great choice of typical products, meals and drinks with long time traditions in the Czech lands.
We are very happy that we managed to make a 4656 BGN contribution to the common cause of the Bazaar and we would like this way to thank to all, who supported us in this charity initiative.
We believe that the participation of the Embassy of the Czech Republic with similar assortment and stall will be at least that successful in the Annual Charity Bazaar 2017 as well.
