In the reaction to this tragedy, as well as based on the request of the Government of North Macedonia for medical assistance, the Czech Embassy in Skopje initiated a humanitarian mission . Still the same day Czechia sent an expert medical team from the Military University Hospital Prague to help the injured persons. A six-person expert team consisting of two surgeons, a traumatologist, an anesthesiologist, a nurse and an operational medical officer was welcomed by Czech Ambassador Jaroslav Ludva. 

Immediately after the landing in Skopje, the expert team went to two hospitals in Skopje in which persons with severe burns from the night club in Kochani were hospitalized. Since the early hours on March 17 and in the following three days, the Czech medical team performed operations and trained the medical staff of the Macedonian hospitals for the specific treatment of severe burns. 

Czech medical team was one of the first to arrive from the countries of the European Union, only the neighboring countries were faster. Czech help was highly appreciated by the representatives of North Macedonia. Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski visited the Czech medical team in one of the hospitals in Skopje and expressed the gratitude for the Czech assistance in the name of the Government. 

At the end of the medical mission, the Czech  expert team was received by the President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, who personally thanked all of the members of the team. Czechia is prepared to further assist North Macedonia, there is a window of opportunity for further cooperation in the medical field.
