Significant participation by the Czech Republic at the International Film Festival „Bogorodicen Pokrov“

Czech cinematography has been at the forefront at IFF „Bogodoričen Pokrov“ (15.-19.10.2016), focussed on spreading spiritual and humanistic values.
Ambassador Miroslav Rameš, together with a famous Czech film director, screenwriter and pedagogue Jiří Svoboda and Czech film producer Viktor Krištof, welcomed the guests at the Festival Opening that took place on October 15, 2016 in a new building of the National Theatre in Skopje. The opening ceremony was followed by screening of the film „Cyril and Methodius: The Apostles of the Slavs“.
On October 17, the film producer of aforementioned film, Viktor Krištof, took part in a workshop for Macedonian art college students, speaking about the film production job with an emphasis on possible sources of raising funds.
On the following day, the film director Jiří Svoboda during a televised worshop on directing quality historical films, answering questions of the Festival director Zorica Kostovska, briefly summarized the beginning of fine-art film, mentioned several progressive Czech contemporary film directors and
as the highlight of the Festival introduced his own film „Jan Hus“.
Note.: On October 20, in Ohrid Prof. Jiří Svoboda "masterclass" and introduction to screening his films "Jan Hus" and " Zánik samoty Berhof" were followed with a great interest by FIOFA (to a certain extent Macedonian equivalent to the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, FAMU) students.
