The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore is recruiting a qualified and motivated Administrative-Consular Assistant to join its Visa and Consular Section. This is a one-year part-time position with the possibility of extension, offering an opportunity to work in an international diplomatic environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the Visa and Consular Section;
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for consular services;
- Manage correspondence and communication with visa applicants and foreign nationals;
- Collect, verify, and process documents for visa applications;
- Enter, update, and manage data in the relevant IT databases;
- Assist Czech citizens requiring consular services or emergency support;
- Liaise with local institutions and authorities on consular matters;
- Draft official correspondence and documents;
- Assist in compiling statistical data and reports for internal and external use;
- Monitor and follow up on applicable rules and regulations to help ensure compliance within the consular area;
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection in handling sensitive personal information;
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Singapore (Singaporean citizens, Permanent Residents, or holders of a valid Pre-approved Letter of Consent – PLOC);
- Education in public administration, international relations, languages, social sciences, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Czech is an advantage;
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Professional demeanor and service-oriented approach towards Embassy clients;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- High level of discretion, responsibility, and reliability;
- Proficiency in MS Office and general IT tools;
- Willingness and ability to learn consular and visa procedures relevant to the position;
- Prior experience in an Embassy or international organization, and familiarity with consular services or public administration, are considered an advantage.
What We Offer:
- Part-time employment contract for 1 year (with possibility of extension), based on the relevant labor regulations of Singapore;
- 30 working hours per week across 5 weekdays;
- Initial 3-month probation period;
- 14 days (84 hours) of paid annual leave per year;
