Ambassador Dana Baschová

Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Singapore

Dana Baschová is the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Singapore. Prior to her current appointment, she served as Director of the Department of the Americas (2023–2025) and Head of the North America Unit (2020–2023) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Her previous diplomatic postings include Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vienna, Austria (2014–2017), and at the Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel (2010–2013). In 2003, she was seconded as a Czech expert to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq. Between 2006 and 2009, she headed the Office of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and in 2002, she was a member of the NATO Summit Task Force.

Outside of her diplomatic career, Ms. Baschová served as Deputy Director of Aspen Institute Central Europe (2017–2020). She also worked with the organization People in Need (2004–2005), one of the leading NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe.

Dana Baschová holds a master’s degree in International Area Studies from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University in Prague. She is married and has one daughter.
