Job Opening: Administrative-Consular Assistant (Fixed-Term Position)

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul is looking for a qualified and motivated Administrative-Consular Assistant to join its Visa and Consular Section. This is one-year position with a possibility of extension, offering an opportunity to work in an international diplomatic environment. 

Main Tasks Responsibilities
As an administrative-consular assistant, your main responsibilities will be:
•    Provide administrative support for the Visa and Consular Section 
•    Assist Czech citizens requiring consular services or emergency support 
•    Manage correspondence and communication with visa applicants and foreign nationals
•    Collect, verify, and process documents for visa applications
•    Interpretate during visa interviews or meetings (between Korean and English)
•    Enter, update, and manage data in the visa system
•    Support consular officers and other embassy staff with ad-hoc interpreting (between Korean and English)
•    Draft official correspondence, documents, and reports
•    Liaise with local institutions and authorities on consular matters
•    Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Working Conditions
•    You will be offered a full-time employment on a local contract based on the relevant legally binding labour market rules of South Korea.
•    Your standard working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
•    Korean four essential insurances will be covered based on the Korean Labor Law.
•    You will be entitled to have 20 days of paid holidays per year.
•    Location: Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul (7F, B-dong, The K-Twin Towers, 50, Jong-ro 1-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul)
•    The contract is expected to last 12 months with a possibility of extension. The first 3 months will serve as a probationary period.

Essential Qualifications
To apply for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 
•    Excellent command of Korean and English, both written and spoken
•    Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
•    High level of discretion, responsibility, and reliability
•    Proficiency in MS Office and good general IT skills
•    Ability to work independently as well as within a team
•    Legal authorization to work in Korea

Desired Qualification and Experience
You will be preferred if you have the following strengths:
•    Professional experience in an Embassy or an international organization
•    A strong understanding of the public administration and regulations in Korea
•    Proficiency in Czech language
