영월 – 리바테일러 사진전 „더 이노센츠“개최

영국에서 활동하고 있는 체코 출신의 사진작가 리바 테일러가 영국과 미국의 NGO유엔난민고등판무관사무소(UNHCR)와 UN단체 활동을 하면서 아프리카 각지에서 촬영한 사진 콜렉션을 영월 아프리카 박물관에서 선보인다.
Wide selection of photographs from all corners of Africa are presented in African Art Museum of Yeongwol, Republic fo Korea from July 24 to August 22, 2010: Photos were made by LIba Taylor, Czech-born London-based photographer, who travelled across the African continent on numerous assignments in the last three decades. Working for UNHCR, UNICEF, ActionAid UK, WHO, UNAIDS, Save the Children Fund, to name only a few, brought her to less traveled corners of the continent, to places like Southern Sudan, Sierra Leone, Somaliland or Liberia.
Liba Taylor emigrated from Czechoslovakia after the Soviet occupation in 1968 and studied Spanish, History of Art and Radio, Film and Television at the University of Bristol, UK. Since the 1970s she started working on documentary projects for UK and international humanitarian organizations, she has also won numerous British and international awards. Since the fall of communism she works both from London and Prague.
The exhibition is to be opened by the director of African Art Museum Ambassador-retired Cho Myong-haing, President of Korea-Africa Association Mr. Kim Yoo-bae and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Olša, jr. Ms. Liba Taylor will personally guide the tour of the exhibition after the official opening.
