Baggage checking procedures at Prague Airport
Since May 15, 2017, detection checks inside checked-in baggage have been carried out at the Václav Havel Airport in Prague, in compliance with the European Union’s legislation and enhancement of passanger protection.
Selected baggage is opened and physically checked for presence of trace elements of explosives. Checks are carried out under very strict safety conditions, the entire procedure is electronically monitored and documented. In each checked baggage, passengers will find a message on the checking procedure. The baggage will also be provided with a protective foil and branded adhesive tape advising the passenger of the undergone check.
