01.07.2015 / 18:14
The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka will open the conference: „Geopolitics, Energy and Central Europe: what next?“, which will take place on July 14 2015 in the European Parliament. The conference on the occasion of the start of the Czech Presidency of the Visegrad Group is organized by the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU in cooperation with the Czech members of the European Parliament.
In time when energy issues become more complex and relevant than ever, especially in the context of the changing geopolitical situation in Central Europe and in Europe as a whole, the energy policy will be one of the key priorities of the Czech Presidency of the V4. The aim of the conference is also to underline the importance of the role V4 countries play as a political and economic force in the European Union, and in the European Parliament in particular.
