Permanent Representation hosts energy conference

The ČEZ Group organises Czech Energy Day in Brussels.
The Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU hosted, on Thursday 11 October 2012, a conference on energy policy. The event was held as part of the fourth Czech Energy Day, organised in Brussels by the ČEZ Group.
The conference, held on the premises of the Representation, discussed topics such as the efforts to complete the European energy market, the role of renewables as well as the future of nuclear power.
The guests at the afternoon conference included Czech Deputy Prime Minister Karolína Peake, Czech MEPs (Evžen Tošenovský, Oldřich Vlasák and Pavel Poc), European Commission officials such as Peter Faross, Eric Mamer and Veronica Tovsak Pleterski as well as Jaroslaw Pietras, representative of the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU. The evening part of the programme of the Czech Energy Day, held in the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts, was visited by the European Commissioner for Energy Günther Oettinger, former President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek as well as the Energy Charter Ambassador Urban Rusnák.
