ONE WORLD 2011: The Winning Film
Date: 26 May 2011 9:00 PM -
Venue: CZECH PERMANENT REPRESENTATION, Rue Caroly 15, 1050 Bruxelles
For the second year, the films presented at One World Brussels in 2011 will be judged by a jury that will present an award for best film at the end of the festival.
Great documentary films from the One World programme are screened over eight days in a number of venues for the general public, policy makers and invited guests. The programme includes award winning documentaries dealing with some of the most pressing political and human rights issues from around the globe.
Ten of the twenty films are judged by a prestigious jury made up of Veronica Scognamiglio from Amnesty International, Pierre De Hanscutter from Service Volontaire International, Eric Juzen from Protection International, Catherine Woollard from European Peacebuilding Liaison Office and Amal Iman from Human Rights Without Frontiers.
The winner of the Best Film Award will receive ongoing support from the Human Rights and Democracy Network in Brussels, who will dedicate extra resources to raise awareness of the issues raised by this film.
This screening is part of the One World in Brussels 2011 film festival.
