Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on energy development projects in Palestine

On 6 November 2017 the Head of Representative Office of the Czech Republic in Ramallah Mr. Petr Starý and the Chairman of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority Eng. Zafer Milhem singed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the development of the energy sector in Palestine
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the context of development cooperation between the Czech Republic and Palestine. It stems from several years of successful cooperation between the Representative Office of the Czech Republic, the Czech Development Agency and the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority on energy projects, mainly in the field of solar panels installations on public buildings in Palestine. On the basis of the new Memorandum, the Czech Republic plans to support the use of different kinds of renewable sources of energy in Palestine, including solar energy or biogas.
Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding
