An expert mission organised and funded by the TAIEX Instrument took place between 18th and 22nd of August in Ramallah. Two experts from the Czech Republic, Mr. Miroslav Chloupek, Director of External Relations and Economy Section from the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing and Ms. Jindra Kafková, Director of International Relations Department from the same institution, reviewed the quality infrastructure in Palestine and the role of Palestine Standards Institution in this system. They also reviewed the system for technical regulation in Palestine, assessed the capacity and limitations of the construction sector against the EU Regulation 305/2011 on harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and reviewed the needs for the construction sector.
