On 17 September, in the presence of Jakub Šlosárek, Head of the Czech Representative Office in Ramallah, Michele Bowe, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta, and Gilles Normand, Director of the hospital, a small ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of a small-scale local project funded by the development cooperation of the Czech Republic.
The Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem is run by the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta. It is a maternity hospital that specializes in high-risk cases from the entire Bethlehem Governorate and partly from other areas of the West Bank (mainly Hebron). Czechia has been cooperating with the hospital repeatedly, several projects have been implemented in the past years. This year, the Representative Office is implementing a project of a tied donation together with the hospital. Within the framework of the small-scale local project, the hospital received new equipment - a transport incubator and four injection pumps for the neonatal ICU – which is already serving the patients.
