Czech-Kosovo Joint Economic Commission in Pristina

On September 21-22, Kosovo hosted the historically first meeting of the inter-resort working group on economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Kosovo based on the Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo from 2019.
Both sides expressed willingness to work to enhance mutual trade exchange and strengthen cooperation in areas such as smart technologies, manufacturing, verification of foreign investment and mining. The Czech expert delegation was accompanied by a working visit of representatives of Czech mining companies in Kosovo that negotiated with representatives of the local mines and Kosovo Energy Corporation. The Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Policies MPO, Mr. Martin Pospíšil, led the Czech expert delegation consisting of representatives of MPO and CzechTrade.
