Czechs at INDIA AVIATION 2016

The Czech Republic showcased its civil aviation potential at the 5th International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Aviation INDIA AVIATION 2016 that was held at the Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad from  March 16 to 20, 2016.

More than 200 aviation companies and delegates from over 25 countries attended the show which was inaugurated by the President of India, Hon'ble Pranab Mukherjee.

A Czech business delegation, organised jointly by the Embassy of the Czech Republic and ministries of industry and trade and foreign affairs of the Czech Rwpublic and led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Jiri Koliba, included more 15 high ranking exexutives both from the government and non-government sectors.

Ambassador Milan Hovorka was also present to support Czech businesses as he considers the economic diplomacy and promotion of a thriving economic relationship between the two countries as one of his key priorities.

The Czech Pavillon featured companies like Aircraft Industries, Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic, Czech Aviation Training Centre, Czech Aerospace Training Academy India, Eldis, ERA, Hypera, Retia and Transcon.

The delegation attended a number of interactive sessions, seminars and bilateral meetings. It called on Ashok Rajapathi Raju, the Minister of Civil Aviation,  Rajeev Nayan Choubey, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and met with a number of leaders of Indian aviation industry. Deputy Minister Koliba had opportunity to address a CEO Forum and share his perspectives on what governments can do for their stakeholders to facilitatw business ties.

Talking about his impressions from the show and all the discussions, Deputy Minister Jirí Koliba said: "The  Czech Republic-India civil aviation partnership has made tremendous progress over the last couple of years. It brings together the best of Czech innovative efforts, skills and experience with immense potential in one of the world's fastest growing civil aviation market."

While fully endorsing this view, Ambassador Hovorka added:  "The great promise is still to be fulfilled. There are numerous opportunities for the two countries to build win-win partnerships in a number of areas, including regional connectivity, modernization and expansion of airport infrastructure, aviation safety, ease of doing  business,  training and competence building. In this respect, the Czech Republic looks forward to a new civil aviation policy of India to be approved soon."
