The official Ceremony of the Presentation of Letters of Credence was held on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the Presidential Palace Bangabhaban in Dhaka. During a joint call with the President of Bangladesh H. E. Mohammed Shahabuddin, Czech Ambassador Eliska Zigova expressed an interest of the Czech Republic to further deepen the cooperation with Bangladesh in the area of economic cooperation. The Ambassador has informed president about the successful Czech companies operating in Bangladesh.

On Tuesday January 30, 2024 Ambassador Eliska Zigova held a meeting with H. E. Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, with whom she further discussed the opportunities for economic cooperation. Ambassador informed the Foreign Minister about the interest of Czech companies to tap the business opportunities in the areas of defence and security, energy, water, research and innovation. The meeting with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister was held in the presence of seven non-resident ambassadors who visited Dhaka to attend the Ceremony of Presentation of Credentials.

During the official visit of Bangladesh, the Ambassador attended the inaugural session of the Bangladesh National Parliament where she held a brief meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament Ms. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury. The Speaker informed the Ambassador about the interest of Bangladesh in establishing relations with representatives of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.  Besides the official program, the Ambassador visited the Office of the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Dhaka Mr. Mohiuddin Monem.
