From 3 to 14 November 2025, Geneva will host the 50th session of the Working Group on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), a UN intergovernmental mechanism that examines the human rights situation in member states.
Czechia will present its human rights recommendations to Belarus, Liberia, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Honduras, and Libya. Other countries under review include Malawi, Panama, the Maldives, Andorra, the Marshall Islands, Croatia, and Jamaica. The review of the United States, if it does not attend the session, will most likely be postponed to spring 2026.
