UPR45: The Czech Republic will participate in the human rights review of UN Member States

The 45th session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), an intergovernmental mechanism examining human rights situation in UN Member States, will take place from 22 January to 2 February 2024. The Czech Republic will participate in the reviews of seven countries.
During the 44th session of the UPR, the Czech Republic will participate in the reviews of Saudi Arabia, China, Mauritius, Mexico, Malaysia, Central African Republic and Malta. Other reviewed countries are Senegal, Nigeria, Jordan, Monaco, Belize, Chad and Congo.
The UN Human Rights Council will adopt final outcomes of the reviews at its 56th session in summer 2024. The final report serves as guiding documents for the implementation of the adopted recommendations. The next UPR of these countries will take place in five years. Meanwhile reviews of other UN Member States will be held.
