The universal periodic review of the human rights situation in Czechia will take place on Monday 23 January, approximately 5 years after the previous review. During the Session, Czechia will participate in reviews of Pakistan, Japan, Guatemala, Sri Lanka and Zambia. Other countries under review will be Switzerland, Argentina, Peru, Gabon, the Republic of Korea and Benin.

The UN Human Rights Council will adopt a report from each country’s review at its 53^rd session in Summer 2023. The reports will provide a basis for implementation of adopted recommendations. The next universal periodic reviews of these countries will take place in approximately 5 years. In the meantime, other UN Member States will be reviewed.
