HRC33: The Czech Republic Supports Civil Society in Cambodia

During the 33rd session of the Human Rights Council, the Czech Republic participated in an interactive dialogue on Cambodia held on 28th of September 2016.
The Czech Republic welcomed the efforts in meeting its development goals, such as economic growth and reduction of unemployment. It has also drew attention to the legal restrictions placed on civil society. Restrictions aimed against members and other political actors. The Czech Republic supports the recommendations put forward by the Special Rapporteur concerning the fairness and freedom of electoral processes.
