In its intervention (DOCX, 15 KB) it strongly condemned all human rights violations and abuses listed in the final report of the independent experts, such as arbitrary deprivations of life, enforced disappearances, torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, sexual and gender-based violence. For all these reasons the Czech Republic supported the recommendation of the independent experts that the Commission of Inquiry should be established immediately to continue the work accomplished the United Nations Independent Investigation on Burundi.
