HRC33: Czech Republic called DRC to strengthen the rule of law

Speaking in the Interactive Dialogue on the Report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on situation of human rights on 27th September 2016, the Czech Republic called on the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to strengthen the rule of law, to fulfill its obligations from the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and to follow the conditions for conflict solution set by the UN Security Council Resolution no. 2277 (2016).

The Czech Republic in its statement (DOC, 24 KB) called as well on the Congolese Independent National Electoral Commission to prepare the presidential and parliamentary elections in a timely manner and in accordance with a consensus-based schedule.
