On 8 March, the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations took part in the next edition of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) sponsored ski races in the French resort of Les Contamines near Chamonix. This year's winner, the team of the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations, was in charge of the organisation.  

The Czech Republic, as last year, defended its first place in the VIP category. Competitors from the Czech mission also managed to score points in most of the other age categories. In the overall standings, the Czech team won an excellent 4th place, just behind the bronze podium. At the same time, it was the highest ranked of all the national mission teams, with only the teams of international organisations, such as the winning team of the European Free Trade Association EFTA, being more successful.
