Czech Republic takes part in WTO Ski Race 2017

The annual WTO Ski Race was held in the French resort of Les Gets, on 4th March 2017. The participants of the race included WTO Secretariat staff, delegates of WTO member states, as well as their family members. This year, the Czech Permanent Mission succeeded in forming a „national team, and competed in most categories (children, juniors, men, women, VIPs-seniors). The youngest member of the team was 7 years old.
In the competition of some 15 teams – which included the usual winners, the WTO Secretariat - the Czech Republic ranked 9th overall.
Apart from being a sporting, competitive event, the races also have their popular, social-event side. And this year’s host, Finland, commemorating their 100th anniversary of gaining its independence, certainly contributed to wonderful experience of all participants!
