The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Manchester deals with regular official agenda related to Czech travel documents, register of births, deaths and marriages, Czech citizenship issues and signature and document legalisation. Other services available include, for example, application for a temporary firearms import permit and a request for an extract from the Czech Criminal Register. Furthermore, the Consulate General administers a special electoral register for Czech citizens living in Northern Ireland, Scotland and the following English regions: North East, North West and Yorkshire and The Humber.
The area of public diplomacy and collaboration with local expatriate community represent other fields of activity of the Consulate General. Political and key economic issues of Czech – UK cooperation and other specialized agenda, including visa applications, are being handled by Czech Embassy in London.
The Consulate General is open for public every weekday from 9:00 till noon and from 1 pm till 3:30 pm. Services are available only on a prior appointment basis, with the exception of reporting a missing Czech passport or ID, which can be done in the regular office hours on a walk-in basis. The Consulate General is closed on public holidays.
The office is headed by Consul General David Frous. In his absence, Deputy Consul General Jana Karla Režná is in charge of the operation.
