Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles cordially invites you to attend a photo exhibition opening by Jana Ašenbrennerová called "Ball Season" on September 23, 2015, at 6:30 PM at the Consulate.
Jana Ašenbrennerová is a Czech photojournalist specializing in social documentary. She studied directing at Film Academy in Písek and came to the US in 2003 to continue her education at San Francisco State University. In collaboration with nonprofit organizations (NGOs), she documents humanitarian efforts in Africa and Asia (Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar).
Her work received awards from World Press Photo, National Geographic, Czech Press Photo, China Press Photo, PDN, CPOY, etc.

The opening is followed by the screening of Miloš Forman's cult film "Firemen's Ball". The screening begins cca at 7:00 PM.
